Holistic Psychotherapy San Francisco Bay Area | Nondual & Gestalt Therapy

Holistic depth psychotherapy in the San Francisco Bay Area. Integrating nondual, gestalt, somatic, and existential therapy. Serving California via telehealth.

Sometimes healing asks for more than insight.
If you’ve been longing to engage more deeply with yourself and move beyond painful patterns, there may be another way forward.

My name is Vanessa Wolter, MFT. I offer an integrative, depth-oriented, interactive approach to therapy that goes beneath symptoms to engage the whole of your experience—mind, body, and spirit.

Rather than applying a fixed method, I draw from different therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to what is unfolding for you. Together, we can explore the deeper roots of painful patterns while cultivating greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and freedom in how you relate to yourself and your life.

You may be seeking support if you:

  • Are questioning who you are, what feels true for you, or the direction and meaning of the life you are living.

  • Have done a great deal of reflecting and understanding, yet sense that something deeper is asking for your attention.

  • Long to express yourself more freely, but feel held back by old patterns, self-doubt, or fear.

  • Feel deeply affected by the world around you and sometimes overwhelmed by its intensity.

  • Live with a harsh inner voice that leaves you questioning your worth, choices, or way of being.

  • Feel different, alone, or uncertain of where you belong, particularly in relationships or social situations.

  • Are moving through grief, loss, or a life transition that has changed the ground beneath you—or the future you once imagined.

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable

You may not know quite where to begin, or whether I will be the right therapist for you. I understand that reaching out to someone new can feel like a significant step. My hope is to offer a space that feels thoughtful, grounded, collaborative, and genuinely open to the complexity of who you are and what you are experiencing.

You don't have to know exactly what you need

You may come to therapy with a clear sense of what you want to work through, or simply with the feeling that something in your life is asking for deeper attention. We can begin there. I have been on my own therapeutic journey and know something of the vulnerability involved in seeking support. The experience of being deeply supported in my own life helped lead me to this work, and I feel deeply privileged to accompany others in theirs.

A little more about me

I hold a degree in Integral Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have extensive training in transpersonal, Gestalt, somatic, and psychodynamic therapy. My approach is integrative and shaped by many years of exploring the psychological, relational, embodied, and existential dimensions of healing.
